A. This Expedited Roofing Project includes, but not limited to providing selected demolition, roof decking repairs, roofing systems for a portion of selected buildings, and repairs to existing open exterior walls above roof levels, as required for weathertight roofs and walls. 1. Completion of work this contract on time is critical to the City of New Orleans, to protect the entire facility from further roof, exterior envelope, and interior damage. 2. Completion of work this contract on time is also critical to the City of New Orleans to expedite abatement work in the facility. Weathertight and dry conditions are required for this abatement work. 3. Immediate completion of work this contract prior to the start of hurricane season on June 1, 2024 is critical to the City of New Orleans for continued protection of the building. B. Contractor is responsible for transporting equipment & materials to the roof work areas. Existing elevators are not to be used for vertical transportation during construction. C. Contractor is responsible for providing stable and safe conditions for workers, Owner's representatives, equipment, and materials on existing roof areas. It is noted that existing lightweight roof decking panels are in various conditions of stability and deterioration. DBE OPPORTUNITY: YES (35%) Dates are subject to changes via an addendum posted by the Bureau of Purchasing on the City's supplier portal.
