The work covered under this contract will be performed at the Lihue Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) located in Lihue, Hawaii at 3190 Ninini Point Road. The work includes improvements to the headworks channel and the chlorine contact tank areas. The purpose of this project is to improve two high-priority areas at the Lihue WWTP, the headworks channel, and the chlorine contact tank. The modifications to the headworks include removing a portion of the channel to allow for screen maintenance access. The modifications for the chlorine contact tanks include lowering the elevation of three weirs to improve hydraulic limitations within the WWTP.
