The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to solicit fee proposals for qualified contractors to construct the Downtown Library Renovation Project. The Project is an interior renovation of the existing building. The scope includes but it is not limited to project modifications to new interior walls, doors, interior glazing, ceilings and finishes, compliance with current life safety codes, installation of an interior lift, and modifications to building systems (HVAC, electrical, lighting, telecommunications audiovisual, and plumbing). The contractor will be responsible for preparing all areas of new scope of work including patching and repairing existing conditions where affected by any and all demolition work. The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, services, permits, temporary controls and construction facilities, and all general conditions, seismic requirements, general requirements and incidentals required to complete the work on the Project in its entirety as described in the contract documents. Any questions regarding this project can be submitted via electronically. The City conducted interviews with each of the four contractors and determined that all four were qualified to bid for the construction of the project.
