NW 154th Street and Palmetto Expressway Turn Lanes Project. Deadline for Receipt of Questions - July 25, 2024 Bidders are to submit one (1) marked original and two (2) physical copies of their Bid with original signatures, along with a virtual copy of the Bid on a Flash Drive. All Bids must be submitted in accordance with Section B, Instructions to Bidders. Any Bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered. The responsibility for submitting a Bid before the stated time and date is solely and strictly the responsibility of the Bidder. This is a grant-funded project administered in coordination with the Department's District 6 Local Agency Program consisting of construction of the shared use path, tree removal, and signal modification. Scope of Work: The Contractor must furnish all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, supervision, and services necessary for the extension of the existing westbound left turn lanes per the attached project plans and in accordance with all applicable Department Design Standards, Department Standard Specifications, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Work includes, but is not limited to, removal of concrete curb and gutter, guardrail, and pavers; and installation of new curb and gutter, milling and resurfacing, and pavement markings as required in the project plans. The Work includes furnishing, installing, constructing, delivery, of a complete project with the required maintenance of traffic devices, and quality assurance testing as applicable to the project. Location: NW 154th Street westbound from the Palmetto Expressway SB on-ramp to the NB ramp. Report monthly, through the Equal Opportunity Compliance System on the Department's Website, actual payments (including retainage) made to DBEs for work performed with their own workforce and equipment in the area in which they are certified. Report payments made to all DBE and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) subcontractors and D BE and MBE construction material and major suppliers. Each Bid must include a bid bond of at least 5% of the total bid price. Failure to include the bid bond will result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. The Performance and Payment Bonds ("Bonds") must be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract value guaranteeing to the Town the completion and performance of the Work covered in the Contract as well as full payment of all suppliers, laborers, or subcontractors employed pursuant to this Project(s). Each Bond must be with a Surety, which is qualified pursuant to Article C3.06, Surety Qualifications. In lieu of the Bonds, Contractor may furnish alternate forms of security, which may be in the form of cash, money order, certified check, cashier's check, or an unconditional letter of credit. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, with or without cause, to waive technical errors and informalities, or to cancel or re-issue this solicitation. The Town also reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder who has failed to previously perform under a contract or who is in arrears to the Town. The Contractor shall obtain Substantial Completion of the Work within one hundred (100) Days of the Notice to Proceed being issued by the Town. Contractor must obtain Final Completion within thirty (30) Days after obtaining Substantial Completion.
