To prepare, reseal, and paint over the existing Fire Lane and Directional Arrows in the external parking lot, ADA and parking striping in the basement, and to prepare and install ADA signage to comply with all local codes and the Americans with Disabilities Act for the Frank Hagel Federal Building in Richmond, CA. The contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to prepare, reseal, and paint Fire Lane, ADA, and Directional Arrows in the external parking lot, ADA and parking striping in the basement, and to prepare and install ADA signage at the Frank Hagel Federal Building in Richmond, CA. in accordance with the attached SOW and terms and conditions. Solicitation Questions and Inquiries must be submitted by 5:00 PM PDT on August 2, 2024. The period of performance will be 90 calendar days from date of award. SCOPE
The Contractor shall supply all materials, tools, labor, and supervision to perform the following tasks:
B-5.1 Selective Demolition and Preparation
a. Clean surfaces prior to installation by sweeping, blowing with air, rinsing with water, pressure
washing, or a combination as recommended by the manufacturer;
b. Where oil or grease are present, clean with tri-sodium phosphate solution or other approved
detergent or degreaser and rinse thoroughly after each application. After cleaning, seal the
affected areas with cut shellac to prevent bleed-through;
c. Clean and seal all asphalt cracks and seams using hot-applied rubber or polymer asphalt or coldapplied emulsion-based product;
d. Demolish and haul off existing ADA signage (poles to remain).
a. Apply product after the surface has been cleaned and dried in accordance with manufacturer's
instructions using an experienced technician familiar with the equipment, materials, and marking
layouts;
b. Apply uniform painted markings of color, lengths, and widths with true sharp edges and ends;
c. Apply paint in one coat only;
d. Wet Film Thickness: 0.015 inch minimum;
e. Width Tolerance: 4" plus or minus 1/8";
f. Do not apply paint if temperatures of the surface or the atmosphere are less than 50 degrees F or
greater than 95 degrees F;
g. Do not apply paint if wind speeds are enough to cause overspray;
h. The Contractor is responsible for notifying the COR if there are any vehicles, or other equipment,
that must be moved and/or protected, as needed, to prevent damages;
i. The Contractor shall be responsible for any damages that occur due to failure to adequately
protect SSA property.
