The Project includes the following Work: The proposed Big Foot Force Main Replacement Project is in the City of Lake Geneva, Walworth County, Wisconsin. Big Foot Lift Station conveys flow from the surrounding area in addition to the flow associated with the Lake Shore Drive Lift Station. The project consists of decoupling the Big Foot Lift Station from the shared force main with the La Grange Lift Station. In doing so, the La Grange Lift Station will maintain the existing discharge point while the Big Foot Lift Station force main will be rerouted. The rerouting will abandon the Big Foot Lift Station force main south of the connection point at La Grange Drive and include approximately 3,180 feet of new 6” HDPE force main that will be directionally drilled (Big Foot Lift Station along S Lake Shore Dr to W South St; W South St from S Lake Shore Dr to a point 300-FT East of Rolling Ln) and approximately 520 feet of new 8” PVC gravity main that will be open cut (along W South St, from a point 300-FT East of Rolling Ln to Bonnie Brae Ln). A bid alternate is included that substitutes fusible HDPE force main with fusible PVC force main. Associated roadway removals, pavement restoration and turf restoration are included in the project. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The anticipated substantial completion date is November 29, 2024, and final completion date is May 1, 2025.
