Reference Number: 0000358559 Soliciting proposals from qualified, licensed Consultant Engineering Firms to provide construction engineering, consulting, and technical project management services for lead water service line removals and replacements. Types of professional services required are likely to include participation in public meetings, surveying, schematic design, cost estimation, construction drawings, and project oversight. The City of Romulus has approximately one hundred and thirty (130) known lead water service lines located at various locations within the City limits. The known material types include lead, or galvanized with potential lead gooseneck type connections. Inspections conducted, indicate lead lines exist from the water main to the curb stop, from the curb stop to the home/business, or a combination of both. Identified lead service lines will be replaced to the meter, located inside the home/business. An address list will be available upon request.
