The City of Palm Springs Information Technology (IT) department has a need for an oncall low voltage cabling contractor. The contractor will provide work on a task order basis. City has multiple projects that require low voltage cabling and or maintenance. Additionally, future expansions and renovations will require low voltage cabling. The City expects to spend $1,000,000 over the next 3 years on low voltage projects. Bidders must be licensed in accordance with the Palm Springs Municipal Code, Chapter 3.40 through 3.96 entitled Business Tax; Possess any other applicable license required in the performance of these services. All licenses must be maintained during the entire term of the agreement. The City of Palm Springs reserves the right to waive any informality or technical defect in a Bid and to accept or reject, in whole or in part, any or all Bids and to cancel all or part of this IFB and seek new Bids, as best serves the interests of the City. The City furthermore reserves the right to contract separately with others certain tasks if deemed in the best interest of the City. The City also reserves the right to award to the lowest responsive responsible bidder or to reject all bids, as it may best serve the interests of the City. Furthermore, the City reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder who previously failed to perform properly, or complete on time, agreements of a similar nature, or to reject the Bid of a Bidder who is not in a position to perform such an agreement satisfactorily.
