The Project includes work related to civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and architectural elements. The project scope can be summarized as follows: The project includes the demolition and total replacement of the mechanical / HVAC systems and select services for the existing Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT). This stand-alone structure comprises approximately 4,800 square feet over six (6) stories. Building functional programs supported include common horizontal and vertical circulation, personnel break and office space, restrooms, data/communications, electrical and elevator control rooms to support the ATCT "Cab" at the top of the structure. A Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system will serve as the primary HVAC replacement system. The ATCT's electrical rooms, data/communications rooms, and elevator control room will be served by VRF units for primary conditioning, and with parallel dedicated ductless split AC systems on at least three (3) floors, including redundancy and standby. Condensers and support components will be supported by the existing exterior mechanical equipment slab.
