The City of Huntington Beach (City) is soliciting a Request for Quote (RFQ) from experienced, qualified firms /vendors to provide comprehensive lake maintenance and management services. The City has four (4) lakes: Chris Carr, Greer, Huntington and Talbert lakes. Some services listed below are subject to prevailing wage rates / laws and are to be bid at prevailing wage rates. The City intends to award one (1) or more service agreements but does not guarantee a specific number to be awarded. Additionally, the city does not guarantee a specific amount of work to successful bidders. A) Lake maintenance and management service areas include but are not limited to: 1. Comprehensive aquatic vegetation (weed and algae) management services. 2. Water quality sampling, analysis, monitoring, and reporting. 3. Nuisance weed and algae control (manual, mechanical, chemical). 4. Enhancement of lake aesthetics, including measurable and progressive clarity improvement. 5. Advisement regarding lake dredging and sedimentation issues. 6. Aeration/recirculation system diagnosis, repair and replacement. 7. Certified Lake Manager Certification. 8. Qualifications/certifications in all applicable Federal, State and local aquatic environment related fields.
