Remove and replace shake shingles and accessories on city hall roof The intent of this REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) is to obtain proposals from qualified persons, firms or corporations, hereafter referred to as "Contractor", to provide professional services to remove and replace the shingles on the roof at City Hall, located at 20 N. Main St., Alpine UT 84004. Alpine City (hereafter referred to as "the City" or "City") requests proposals from qualified Contractors to replace the shake shingles with a high quality shake shingle that will preserve the historic nature of the building and have a minimum of 20 year service life. Specific services include, but will not be limited to, the removal and replacement of the shingles, gutter (if needed) and flashing (if needed). Upon removal of the shingles, the roof sheeting will be inspected for water or other damage to determine if replacement of some areas is necessary. Any costs of sheeting replacement should not be included in this RFP. If needed, the price for this work will be negotiated with the successful Contractor during construction. The City understands that the submitted construction schedule may change if roof sheeting replacement is required. The selected Contractor will be required to enter into a standard Alpine City contract for this work.
