Service and Repair of Food Service Kitchen Equipment (Resubmission II) Purpose of Proposal: The purpose of this bid is to enter into a contract with a vendor for the service and/or repair of ovens, ranges, steam tables, heat holding cabinets, braisers, kettles, pressure cookers/steamers, tilted skillets, exhaust hoods, combi ovens, etc. for the2024-2025 School Year. Bidders shall be of known reputation and shall have sufficient qualified personnel and equipment to adequately service and/or repair the Board of Education's oven/ranges, steam tables, heat holding cabinets, braisers, kettles, pressure cookers and etc. Bidder shall have been the owner of an operating contracting business for the past five (5) years in performance of servicing and repairing various cooking and holding equipment as included in this specification. Bidders shall submit such evidence of qualifications as required by the Board's Purchasing Agent by filling out the enclosed Contractor's Questionnaire. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check made payable to the Passaic Board of Education, for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total bid, however, not to exceed $20,000. When required, the successful bidder shall furnish a Performance, Payment, and Completion Bond in a sum of at least one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of this Contract. Such written guarantee shall be made payable to the Passaic Board of Education and shall be in the form required by Statute. Bidders are required by law to submit a Statement of Ownership Disclosure form statement setting forth the names and addresses of all persons and entities that own ten (10%) percent or more of its stock or interest of any type at all levels of ownership. Liquidated damages shall be assessed against the contractor in the amount as listed in the General Specifications, and Contract should the contract/work/service not be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. Term of Contract: The term of contract will be from the Award of Contract - June 30, 2025. Question Deadline 07/31/2024 at 10:00 AM ET.
