Site work and paving for a road / highway in Champion, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
For third class cities the bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the municipality. A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage ACT applies to this project only if the bid amount exceeds $100,000.00. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $975.00 per calendar day. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Roadway Base Repairs, in place - 6" depth w/25mm. Locations of work as directed by borough officials. 1" Superpave Asphalt Scratch & Leveling Course, 9.5mm, 50 gyration, in place. 1.5" Superpave Asphalt Wearing Course, 9.5mm, 50 gyration, in place. Locations of wedge curb vary, consult with borough on placement. AII paving includes shoulder widths...cover existing pavement as directed. Contractor shall coordinate work and work schedules with the borough.
