GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK a) Replacement of existing contractor grade, single pane windows at Fire Station #3. Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of existing windows and furnish and install new aluminum, low E, tinted, single hung, no grid, hurricane rated and impact resistant glazed windows. b) The Contractor shall inspect the windows to determine measurements of all work required. c) All work shall be in compliance with all applicable Building Codes, Laws, Regulations and Standards. SCOPE: The City's objective is to contract with a qualified, competent and licensed Contractor to furnish and install replacement windows at Fire Station #3, Punta Gorda, FL. State of Florida Certified General Contractor (CGC), or Certified Building Contractor (CBC), or Registered General Contractor (RG), or Registered Building Contractor (RB), or Local Specialty Carpenter Contractor, Glass and Glazing Specialty Contractor or Door and Window Contractor license are required to perform services for this project. PROJECT DESCRIPTION a) LOCATION i) Fire Station #3, 1623 Aqui Esta Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. b) SCOPE i) Contractor(s) to furnish all labor, equipment, materials, permits and all appurtenances necessary to complete this project. (1) Permit documents shall include design pressures for each opening type to meet the site specific location, a building layout and product approvals. ii) Remove and dispose of existing fourteen (14) windows; single pane. iii) Furnish and install fourteen (14) new, white aluminum, hurricane rated and impact resistant glazed windows, which shall have wind and pressure rating to Risk Category IV, 170 mph. (1) Approximate window sizes (W x H) - Contractor shall be responsible for actual window measurements. 3 - 4'0" x 6'4" 7 - 4'0" x 5'3" 4 - 4'0" x 4'3" iv) Replacement windows shall be low E, tinted, hurricane rated and impact resistance glazing. (1) Wind and pressure rated to Risk Category IV, 170 mph. v) All windows must meet Miami-Dade County or State of Florida Standards. vi) All windows shall be white aluminum, single hung, no grid. vii) Removal and installation of any individual window should be done the same day (no openings overnight). viii) Return all interior and exterior finishes back to existing. Any damages must be repaired. ix) All debris should be removed from the building daily and disposed of properly.
