Description: Contractor shall furnish all the materials, tools and labor to complete the following work. Repair flood damage to the first floor of Montpelier Fire Station. This includes: 1. Install rigid and 1 part foam and batt insulation in areas of exterior walls where drywall is removed. 2. Replace and finish tape approximately 1000 square feet of drywall (bottom 4' of walls). 3. Prime and finish paint approximately 2000 square feet of walls. 4. Replace approximately 36 square yards of carpet (commercial carpet tile). 5. Replace approximately 230 linear feet of vinyl cove base. 6. Install 6 new doors with hardware in existing metal frames. 7. Install finished maple square trim at doors and windows where it was removed. 8. Apply clear finish to doors and trim. 9. Contractor shall perform work to match existing finishes as closely as possible. 10. Contractor is responsible for field verifying all quantities. 11. Contractor shall provide moving services for existing office contents and shall coordinate work around ongoing station functions. All questions must be submitted no later than two (2) days prior to the acceptance of bids. Prior to opening of bids, it is assumed that each bidder will have inspected the sites and become thoroughly familiar with the Contract documents, existing field conditions, and limitations. Failure of a bidder to review all documents or existing site conditions pertinent to the Contract shall in no way relieve the bidder from the obligation with respect to his/her bid. The City of Montpelier reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informality in the bidding per current policy.
