By submitting a response and subsequent information, the respondents waive the right to object to the exercise of the City's right to disqualify a respondent and a response, either now or in the future. Entrance Road Precourt Park, Driving Park Road, Manchester, NH The City of Manchester's Parks, Recreation, and Cemetery Division invites prequalified Contractors to submit detailed bids for New Installation: Automated Cantilever Slide Gate. Unless otherwise determined to be in the City's best interest, the successful Respondent will: 1. Furnish and install an automatic cantilever sliding gate at the main park entrance road to restrict automobile access when the park is closed. 2. Gate and Slide Gate Operator will be: a. 4-foot-high and 28-foot-wide with an overall gate length of 42-foot-long. b. Supported by three (3) 6-5/8" galvanized gate posts with 24" diameter x 42" concrete footers. c. Constructed to withstand the forces of gravity and wind d. Diagonally braced and trusses welded in place to help prevent gate sag. e. Adaptable to uneven terrain. f. Made of new black vinyl-coated chain link. g. Counter-balanced when in the open position. h. Installed with safety guards and covers to protect pinch points. i. Free of any binding and with all U-Bolts securely tightened. 3. Slide Gate Operator includes: a. A SL3000UL 1/2 HP AC High Traffic Commercial Slide Gate Operator or its equivalent. b. Photoeyes, exit loops, and safety loops to protect against the gate closing on a vehicle or pedestrian. c. Programming capability to open and close according to a set schedule. d. Vehicle detectors to allow for car exit after the park's closure time, but not enter. e. A 500-code keypad. f. Encrypted signal and offer extended range with Security+ 2.0. g. A rating for gates 50 feet and 1,000 lbs. h. Being ideal for heavy traffic and commercial use. i. At least a five-year warranty. j. At least (5) remotes. Earliest Construction Start Monday, August 12, 2024 No bonds required for this project due to its limited scope. The Public Works Director may terminate the contract for breach by the Contractor of any of the contract's provisions by giving the Contractor ten (10) day notice by registered mail. The City may terminate the contract at any time by giving written notice to the Contractor of such termination and specifying the effective date at least ten (10) days before the effective date. The Contractor agrees by signing the Contract Agreement that the City may retain from the amounts of money that is or which may become due an amount of two hundred dollars ($200.00) plus engineering charges for each calendar day (Sundays and City of Manchester holidays excluded) of time consumed in completing the work beyond the time conditions stipulated in the Invitation for Bids and the Contract Agreement or any extension of time that is duly authorized and such amount so to be retained. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
