As of October 3, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Remove approximately 68' segment of existing concrete steps and sidewalk and properly dispose of all construction waste material. oPrepare subgrade by tamping or rolling until thoroughly compacted and at the proper line and grade. oSecurely place forms for new concrete sidewalk 68' x 9' x 5'' thick, 2 steps 68' long with 7" riser and 12" run, and 4' wide ADA compliant ramp. oFurnish and install #4 rebar in steps and wire mesh in sidewalk and ramp. oInstall approximately 9' x 68' x 5" IDOT Class SI concrete sidewalk. Concrete shall have a minimum thickness of 5" or match existing if greater. Joint spacing shall match existing oInstall 4' wide IDOT Class SI concrete ADA ramp and handrail. The ramp will be two sided, approximately 6' long on each side of 5' landing at building entrance. oInstall 68' of IDOT Class SI concrete steps. oRemove approximately 8' x 68' of brick and concrete road in front of new steps and replace with 6" thick IDOT Class PP concrete pavement. oBid needs to allow for gravel fill under sidewalk. All concrete must be 4,000 psi mix, broom finished and seals with cure and seal. Material testing shall be provided by the Contractor. The work shall be in accordance with Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Work in Illinois, Current Edition.
