Concourse Traffic Coating, Raymond James Stadium Question Deadline 08/23/2024 The final day for asking questions regarding this ITB is All questions regarding this ITB must be submitted in writing and emailed to bids@tampasportsauthority.com or djones@taqmpasportsauthority.com. Questions will not be answered prior to the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference. The Tampa Sports Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities, if any, and accept the bid, which in the judgment of the Authority, is determined to be in its best interest. Scope of the project generally consists of providing all labor, material, tools, and equipment required to perform the work described herein. Demo, repair, prep, and recoat approximately 78,470 sq ft (Both Upper Decks; 39,235/per side) of the upper concourse traffic coating with a durable, non-skid, flexible, waterproofing traffic coating system that has excellent UV, chemical, and wear resistance with seamless repairability. Traffic Coating System shall not include epoxy systems, unless guaranteed to withstand UV breakdown. A. Demo: To ensure maximum adhesion and bonding direct to concrete - Remove existing coatings down to bare, sound concrete substrate. Thoroughly clean concrete leaving a bare concrete surface to a profile of CSP5 or higher according to the Concrete Repair Institute's Concrete Surface Profile Scale. Preferred method: Planetary Diamond Grinders attached to HEPA fitted dust collectors. Shot blasting or other approved mechanical means may be utilized to achieve this profile, appropriate dust mitigation procedures to be implemented. The contractor shall be responsible for proper and safe removal and/or disposal of all materials, items, and equipment required as set forth in the contract documents. TSA will provide a dumpster TSA will provide a dumpster on ground level. The contractor responsible for keeping the work area clean and free of waste and transporting refuse to dumpster. B. Remove/Repair Concrete: Contractor must provide a substrate surface that is dry and free of laitance and unsound concrete. Inspect the concrete for bug holes, voids, fins and other imperfections. Protrusions shall be ground smooth while voids shall be filled with a system- compatible filler/grout to create a level profile. C. Pitching & Sloping: Contractor to put forth best effort to correct areas of improper drainage (standing water) in the bowl walkways by profiling and/or using a system-compatible filler/grout. Pitch appropriately (minimum 1/4 "/ Maximum of 3/4" per linear foot) towards existing drains. D. Surface Prep: Contractor shall thoroughly clean the mechanically prepared and repaired substrate. It must then be free of dust, grease, oils, curing membranes, wax, and any other contaminants. E. Apply Penetrating Primer. Contractor to use a high strength, deep penetrating, concrete substrate reinforcing primer such as Polyaspartic, acrylic resin primer based on methyl methacrylate (MMA), or equivalent to prevent delamination as well as body coat bonding. Flexible resins are necessary to allow movement which can reduce cracking. F. Apply Body Coat: Apply hybrid blend of urethane acrylate and methyl methacrylate (MMA), Polyurethane Elastomeric Waterproofing Flexible Membrane, or equivalent. This product will have excellent UV stability and chemical resistance as well as flexibility and elongation to allow the concrete to move as needed during normal use while keeping the aggregate firmly in place. G. Broadcast Aggregate: Broadcast to full rejection 36-grit Aluminum Oxide aggregate to create a new, non-skid texture. Aluminum Oxide is required to help with durability, non-skid floor finish and still allow easy cleaning / maintenance. Do not use sand (or "shark-bite"). Sand breaks down and reduces the durability of the coating. H. Apply Additional Body Coat: Add a second layer of body coat or flexible wear coat with aluminum oxide broadcast to create a thicker, more durable, wear resistant system (if necessary - depending on overall system implemented). I. Apply Topcoat /Sealer: Apply pigmented hybrid aliphatic polyurea elastomeric topcoat, or equivalent, with excellent UV stability and chemical resistance (such as Resudeck FLA Polyurea Elastomeric Topcoat, Dek- 935, or equivalent product).
