JEA Brandy Branch Generating Station is located at 15701 West Beaver Street This specification covers the inspection and repair of two Tranter (Superchanger Model: UFX-145-5-Hp-453) plate heat exchangers used for closed cooling at Brandy Branch Generating Station. The awarded Contractor is to furnish all labor, supervision, material, subcontracts, etc. to perform the before mentioned work. The Contractor shall mobilize and remove plates from existing units, crate and ship to shop for inspection of the current plates, remove existing gaskets, chemically clean the existing plates, perform NDE, and re-gasket and leak check the plates (quantity: 453 per heat exchanger). The Contractor shall provide a report of the work described in section 2.1.1 and notify JEA if any of the plates fail NDE. The Contractor shall provide the JEA Project Manager a detailed resource loaded project schedule within 2 weeks of award. Schedule shall outline all project details in MPP format with copy in PDF format. The Contractor shall be responsible for all shipping and crating expenses, and shall provide optional pricing for replacement plates of the same material and design as the existing plates.
