Site work and paving for a civil project in Mars Hill, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Base Price Range. $250,000 - $1,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. ) Period of Performance. Contract is to be completed within 90 days after notice to proceed. Base Bid. Road Reconditioning of 39.8 miles in the Appalachian Ranger District. Work Includes the blading and shaping the existing traveled way and shoulders, including turnouts, to produce a uniform surface, consistent to grade, and crowned or cross-sloped as indicated in existing surface to design specifications. Maintain ditches, including lead-off ditches, by removing rock, soil, wood and other materials. Maintain ditches to achieve proper drainage. Clean drainage structures, inlets, catch basins and outlets. materials away from inlet and outlets. 6460 tons of ABC spot surfacing. 154 feet of pipe replacement. 1.8 miles of storm damaged road repair. Attached is a Schedule of Activities and a Decription of Work for each road. Option Items. Additional work would include soil and woody debris removal requiring an excavator and a dump truck on 465 Hickey Fork road. Material will be disposed of off Government land. Culvert replacement on 3548 Doe Branch road. The project site is located on the Appalachian Ranger District of the Pisgah National Forest.
