Work consists of installation of approximately 300 LF of 16-inch waterline finishing the connection between CR-913 and Rustic Edge St. The deadline to ask questions is 8/07/2024 5:00 PM CST. Bid Bond: A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Johnson County SUD, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. Performance and Payment Bond The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bond upon the form which is attached hereto in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner. Maintenance Bond At the conclusion of the project, the Contractor shall furnish to the OWNER a two (2) year Maintenance Bond upon such form as provided by the ENGINEER. The bond shall be in an amount equal to 100% of the final contract price for the project and shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. Time of Beginning and Completion The successful bidder shall commence work within ten (10) working days of the Notice to Proceed and complete same within 45 working days from the date of written notice to commence work. For each calendar day that any work shall remain incomplete after the time specified in the proposal and the contract, or the increased time granted by the Owner, the sum per day given in the following schedule will be deducted from the monies due the CONTRACTOR, not as a penalty but as liquidated damages: Liquidated Damages Per Day: $1,000.00 The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. Bids maybe held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding of the contract.
