The commercial seaport of the Port of Gulfport operated and administered by the Mississippi State Port Authority at Gulfport (the "MSPA"), an enterprise agency of the State of Mississippi, operating under Section 59-5-1 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, is seeking proposals for designation as the Underground Utility Services Contractor ("Contractor"). The MSPA anticipates awarding a contract for services in September for services beginning October 1, 2024 for a total of three (3) years with a renewal option of 2 years subject to annual review. Scope of Services the Mspa is Issuing This Request for Proposals ("Rfp") to Solicit Services for All Interested, Qualified, and Licensed Vendors Who Specialize in Utility Services. For Purposes of This Rfp, "Underground Utility Services" ("Utility Services") Shall Mean Responsibility for Performing on Call Inspections, Troubleshooting, Repairs, and Other Utility Services in Accordance With Code and the Manufacturer's Specifications on Utility Distribution Systems of the Mspa Located at the Port of Gulfport. Utility Services Shall Be Performed on Buildings, Structures, Piers, and Equipment to Include, by Way of Example and Not as a Limitation, the Mspa's Warehouses, Freezers, Chillers, Offices, Buildings, Landscaping, Water Tower, All Valves, Cutoffs and Service Lines. The Successful Contractor Must Be a Current Mississippi Commercial Licensed for Utility Work and Shall Provide All Equipment and Labor for Utility Services and Assume Responsibility as a Utility Services Contractor. The Successful Contractor Will Be Required to Obtain and Maintain Throughout the Term of the Contract, a Current Insurance Certificate Evidencing the Insurance Coverages Identified in This Rfp.
