Site work and paving for a civil project in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
In the Spring of 2024 Pleasant Grove City performed a scrub seal and micro surface on about 15 lane miles of roadway. In many locations there are manholes and valve box lids that need to be raised. The purpose of the project is to provide roadway concrete collar services within Pleasant Grove City. In the Spring of 2024 Pleasant Grove City performed a scrub seal and micro surface on about 15 lane miles of roadway. In many locations there are manholes and valve box lids that need to be raised to meet the new road elevation. In other areas of the city there are manholes and valve boxes that have damaged concrete collars that need to be replaced. The contractor will be able to perform this work on their schedule before November 15, 2024. Pleasant Grove City reserves the right to modify the following schedule at their discretion. City Council acceptance of award August 20, 2024 Anticipated Start of Services August 27, 2024 Contract goals: o Minimize impact to residents, business, those traveling o Provide a quality concrete collar at 1/8" below the final surface o Minimize damage to the new roadway surface Successful contractor team is expected to fulfill the following: o Consist of individuals with experience in delivering similar types of projects. o Provide a project manager that will be on site with project delivery experience with managing similar types of projects. Provide a unit pricing using the following information: o Estimated quantity to be 100 valve boxes and 100 manholes. o City staff will provide exhibits and/or mark collars that need to be replaced. o Some existing collars will be asphalt and some will be concrete. o Use of steel plates within travel lanes on busy roads will be required. o The concrete mix will need to have fiber in it and a rebar hoop will need to be installed on all collars. o When possible, a whirly gig will need to be used to core the asphalt. o All valve boxes will need to be aligned enough for the city to get a 2" key on the valve nut without complications. o City will provide frames, boxes, and lids for the ones that are damaged prior to the project beginning. If they are damaged by the contractor then the contractor will be responsible for replacing them. o All valve boxes and manholes will need to be cleaned regardless of if they were dirty before the project. o QC testing will be required to be provided by the contractor. Include type of equipment that will be used on this project such as the whirly gig, type of skid steer, et Proposers are encouraged to submit their questions in writing by emailing btveten@pgcity.org no later than August 5, 2024. If the RFP needs to be modified or clarified, a written addendum will be issued. Additional questions may be submitted through email until the deadline for questions as stated above. This RFP may be cancelled at any time prior to the execution of a written agreement if deemed in the best interests of the City. This includes cancellation of the RFP after an award has been made, but prior to the execution of a written contract. Proposer is not entitled to recover any costs related to the preparation of the proposal due to cancellation of the RFP or withdrawal of an award prior to the execution of a written agreement. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
