The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to solicit ideas and information from qualified entities for the design, cost, construction, and management of a project to replace the existing back stop and netting with a new backstop and netting system that will extend down both baselines. Consultant expertise is required to determine the optimal netting height to protect 9000 south traffic and pedestrians, spectators, and Cate Field buildings and infrastructure at Salt Lake Community College's (SLCC) Jordan Campus located at 9000 S 3500 W, West Jordan, Utah. Information will be submitted voluntarily and with the understanding that this RFI is for information gathering purposes only and is not a formal solicitation. The information gathered may be used to develop further specifications which could result in a formal solicitation. However, a formal solicitation may or may not be issued as a result of, and subsequent to, this RFI. The results of such a solicitation may include a design + build contract or a design contract or a build contract. Cost information submitted during this information gathering process is submitted voluntarily and will not be considered as binding or responsive to any solicitation subsequently issued. Cost information which may be submitted will be used solely for the purposes of establishing a target budget for the project. The submission of cost information is not required. Propose and demonstrate the right system for the location that is constructable, cost effective, and provide the required safety for 9000 south traffic and pedestrians, spectators, and Cate Field Buildings and infrastructure. - Engineering - provide engineering of the designed system. - Code approval - work with WC3 for code approval - Materials - procure all associated materials - Demo - demo the existing netting system at Cate Field - Construction - construct the backstop and netting system to design specification and received code inspection approvals. - Avoid onsite utilities - Work around existing buildings and infrastructure, leave the site in the pre-construction condition Timeline for completion: - Construction window is between mid-August to January 1st, 2025. Procedures: - Parking permits to be coordinated with PM - Access to be coordinated with PM and SLCC Key Office - Schedule to be coordinate with PM - Design and submittals to be approved by SLCC Facilities Services, coordinate with PM Safety and Liability: - The awarded contractor will be required to provide proof of insurance coverage outlined in the attached Contractor's Agreement, including Commercial General Liability Insurance, Workers Compensation Insurance, Employers Liability Insurance, and Automobile Liability insurance. 1) For projects less than $100,000, a single limit of $1,000,000 for each occurrence and $3,000,000 annual aggregate. 2) For projects greater than $100,000, a limit of $5,000,000 for each occurrence and in the aggregate.
