As of August 2025, per owner, the construction RFP has been delayed until the second quarter of 2026. Amtrak is initiating the procurement to select a General Contractor ("GC") to perform construction services for the installation of a new train car wash at the Ivy City Yard in Washington, DC. A formal Request for Proposal is anticipated to be released on September 1, 2024.
