Work consists of performing cold plane milling, asphalt concrete paving, and dig out repair work on various streets within the Town of Loomis, including incidental work such as crack sealing and installation of replacement striping. Contractor shall possess either a valid Class A (General Engineering) or C-12 (Earthwork and Paving), California Contractor's license and a Town business license at the time the contract is awarded. The Town anticipates authorizing the award of contract at the August 13, 2024 Council Meeting so that work can begin in September and be completed by the end of October. A pre-bid meeting has not been scheduled, nor is one anticipated for this project. All bid prices will be held firm for a minimum of sixty (60) calendar days after the due date for submitting bids. Bids must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee amounting to ten percent (10%) of the total bid as described in the specifications. Said guarantee shall be forfeited to the Town in case the bidder depositing the same does not, within seven calendar days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him (1) enter into a contract with the Town and (2) furnish Performance and Payment Bonds and the required Insurance, as described in the specifications. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder at the discretion of the Town Council. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any errors, discrepancies or irregularities.
