In order to allow two through lanes both northbound and southbound Sierra College Boulevard across Taylor Road, the California Public Utilities Commission is requiring railroad improvements in the form of a train and signal pre-emption systems, a railroad pre-signal, and crossing gate modifications. This project is included in the City of Loomis' FY 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of January 15, 2025, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available.
