The Contractor will provide labor, materials, equipment, supplies, services, skills, supervision and necessary tools and equipment, throughout the Contract period, required for the replacement of approximately 3,260 linear feet of 2-inch and 6-inch diameter water mains with 8" PVC diameter water mains, the replacement of water services, the replacement of existing fire hydrants, and addition of new fire hydrants to increase fire protection within Poppy Street, Palm Beach Street, & Main Street pavement. The project also includes the replacement of 1875 linear feet of 6" VCP gravity sanitary sewer with 8" PVC along with 11 manholes and sewer services within the Palm Beach Street & Main Street pavement. The project includes asphalt patching, concrete curb and gutter replacement and other surface restoration pay items. The project also includes other items incidental to the infrastructure replacement, such as: disposal of materials removed; maintenance of traffic, and restoration of disturbed areas including sidewalk, curb and gutter, and pavement as identified in the Contract Documents. Specifically, the contractor will be required to provide arboricultural mitigation for trees impacted, per the provided Arborist Report and plan sheets and to secure road closure requests after submission of acceptable Temporary Traffic Control plans. This project is being constructed in advance of a planned City resurfacing project.
