Reference Number 0000358624 This is the first of a multi-year effort to replace existing asbestos cement irrigation main piping and to improve resiliency and reliability of the irrigation system pipe network at the Muskegon County Resource Recovery Center. A. The project consists of: i. Utility investigation work necessary to construct the improvements and order proper materials. ii. Approximately 3,500 feet of 30" ductile iron irrigation main installation, including several connections to existing asbestos cement pipe of various sizes. iii. Abatement and disposal of existing asbestos cement pipe. iv. Replacement of 8 irrigation main isolation valves at various locations, including connections to various existing irrigation main pipe materials. v. Restoration of areas disturbed by construction. B. Contractor must furnish adequate material, equipment, labor, and supervision to complete the specified work, which also includes testing, inspection, and placing the systems in operation.
