Estimated Construction Cost: $420,000 This solicitation consists of two separate appropriations at the Fort Lyon Campus in Bent County Colorado. Fort Lyon is a registered Historic District with National and State Historic Register. Its beginnings date back to 1867 but most of the buildings were built between 1929 and 1944 as a Navy Hospital. In 2001 it served as a hospital for the Colorado Department of Corrections. In 2012 It was 2012 ownership was transferred to the Department of Local Affairs to offer supportive housing, health services, substance abuse treatment, counseling and training for homeless veterans. Many of the buildings on the Ft. Lyon campus do not meet current code and life safety requirements.
