Reference Number 0000358907 Source ID PU.AG.USA.1652595.C11245501 Piggyback Contract No Project 1: HB1408 Improve Life Safety and Code, Multiple Buildings Estimated Construction Cost: $1,025,000 Project 2: Life Safety, Three Buildings entails safety upgrades and code improvements for buildings 3, 201 and 221. Each building has varying degrees of renovation including providing accessible restrooms and showers, stair and handrail modifications, door and hardware modifications, emergency lighting, exit signs, smoke detectors and fire annunciators. Estimated Construction Cost: $420,000 This solicitation consists of two separate appropriations at the Fort Lyon Campus in Bent County Colorado. Fort Lyon is a registered Historic District with National and State Historic Register. Its beginnings date back to 1867 but most of the buildings were built between 1929 and 1944 as a Navy Hospital. In 2001 it served as a hospital for the Colorado Department of Corrections. In 2012 It was 2012 ownership was transferred to the Department of Local Affairs to offer supportive housing, health services, substance abuse treatment, counseling and training for homeless veterans. Many of the buildings on the Ft. Lyon campus do not meet current code and life safety requirements. Project 1: HB1408 Improve Life Safety and Code, Multiple Buildings entails life safety upgrades and code improvements for buildings 4, 5, 6, 8 and 401. Each building has varying degrees of renovation including providing accessible restrooms and showers, stair and handrail modifications, door and hardware modifications, emergency lighting, exit signs, smoke detectors and fire annunciators.
