The City of West Sacramento is soliciting proposals from qualified firms or individuals ("Proposer") to provide design services, cost estimate and bid package and bid support for the West Sacramento Community Center South Entrance. Located in the City of West Sacramento, CA, the West Sacramento Community Center is host to a multitude of community events, classes, and productions. The facility is also available to rent for special events. The building features a black box theater, a state-of-the-art, flexible space that includes full theatrical lighting, a sound system and an 11-station dressing room. The Historical Gallery features high quality displays and artifacts which describe the community's rich and diverse history. The use of video screens and an interactive video station allow visitors to navigate their way through West Sacramento's past.. It is local landmark, enhancing the area's distinctly urban character. Question Deadline 08/15/2024 at 3:00 PM PT Question Response Deadline: August 20, 2024, 3:00pm Currently, the Community Center is determined to increase the security of the South entrance and ensure adequate space for Community Center activities. The following is a list of tasks that are intended to be the responsibility of the Contractor pursuant to this Request for Proposals ("Scope of Work "). Assess the property lines, and the needs and activities of the Community Center in relation to this RFP Meet with Community Center staff/contacts to brainstorm and eventually provide a design option that meets security, space, accessibility and aesthetic features Provide cost estimate(s) for the options and assist with developing a bid packet and bid support for construction/installation of the secure fencing. Location: 1075 W Capitol Ave, West Sacramento, CA 95691 (South entrance) Area: Approx. 400sq.ft +/- The initial term of the Contract is at the City's discretion and may be up to 2 years. The City also reserves the right to extend the Contract for up to 2 additional 1-year terms (individually, "Extension") upon the same terms and conditions as parties agreed to in the Contract. Thus, parties agree the Contract may be for a total of 2 years upon the same terms and conditions as parties agreed in the Contract. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the City is not obligated to extend the Contract for any amount of time. If there is outstanding work within the Scope of Work at the end of the term of the Contract and the City requires time to solicit for and secure an alternative contractor, Contractor shall continue to provide the services within the Scope of Work on a month-to-month basis, not to exceed six (6) months, at the same cost, terms, and conditions in effect at the termination of the Contract. The City shall give Contractor at least thirty (30) days written notice of such a need and the anticipated timeline to secure an alternative contractor.
