NYS OPWDD-Bernard Fineson DDSO intends to procure exterior painting (per the attached scope of work) pursuant to its discretionary purchasing authority.
Summary of Work: Scrape and Paint Fire Stairs,
Rust Inhibitor, Primer and Outdoor Paint.
Please be advised, attendance at a site visit is mandatory prior to submitting a quote. If your company would like to be considered for this project, please review the attached scope of work and any supporting documents.
The Vendor to supply and install all Materials and Labor to complete the
work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to
be completed within 14 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and
prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be
cleaned, and all materials secured at the end of each workday. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners,
are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of Flooring installation, contractor is to schedule a quality control
and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent. 1 Provide proper dust protection at all areas where work is to be performed. properly covered and protected
from dust at the start of work and removed at the end of each workday.
2 Remove and scrape off all old paint on all sides of the fire stairs.
3 Smooth out all surfaces of the enire fire stairs to receive rust inhibitor.
4 Apply 2 coats of rust inhibitor on entire surface of the fire stairs.
5 Apply 2 coats of outdoor primer on prepped fire stairs all sides.
6 Apply 2 coats of Benjamin Moore or Rustoleum outdoor paint on all sides of the fire stairs.
7 Once all work has been completed check for blemishes, if any are found ensure to correct area.
8 Caulk and seal all areas around fire stairs needing to be addressed with outdoor weatherproof caulking.
9 Clean all debris daily and ensure each day there are no paint chips or chemicals left around the area 10 Color of outdoor paint to be chosen once winning bidder has been chosen.
11 New Fire stairs paint job must come with a one-year Guarantee from Vendor.
12 No asbestos or lead abatement of materials is required for this project.
