An Albertan municipality, the primary purpose of the Kananaskis Improvement District (KID) is to provide effective local government and municipal services to the residents and ratepayers of Kananaskis Country. A secondary purpose is to work with, and provide input to, the Province of Alberta with respect to land use and resource management within the improvement district. KID is responsible to the Minister of Forestry and Parks, and delivers a portfolio of services that include (but are not limited to): municipal administration, disaster and emergency services, fire protection, public health and welfare, street lighting, waste management, wastewater collection and treatment, water treatment and distribution, and noxious weed control. The KID is seeking a contractor to carry out the annual assessment of property within the municipality, primarily for taxation purposes, and to undertake all the property assessment related activities in accordance with the MGA. The purpose of this RFP is to invite Firms who demonstrate the necessary qualifications and experience, relative to the scope and nature of this project, to provide proposals for the provision of property assessment and related activities for properties within the municipality.
