As of October 13, 2025, design team identified. Design expected to be complete by end of January 2026. Construction documents February-August 2026. Contractor bidding expected September 2026. Construction to start November 2026 and completed by April 2028. Construction of the facility and site improvements is anticipated to be done in one phase, beginning in 2026, with a single construction bid package, unless it is advantageous to the project budget or community for construction to occur in multiple phases or bid packages. The design concept will start with a baseline space program for a City of Saint Paul Parks community center. With an emphasis on encouraging social engagement and physical activity, the future facility will have multipurpose rooms, a teen room, “Rec Check” youth room, dance/yoga studio, fitness room, and a gymnasium. The City of Saint Paul Department of Parks and Recreation is issuing this Request for Proposals for comprehensive architecture and engineering services for design and construction administration of a new community center to replace the existing Duluth and Case Recreation Center on a 10.5-acre property at 1020 Duluth Street, Saint Paul, MN 55106. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bids received without explanation Question Deadline 08/16/2024 at 3:00 PM CT The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
