The improvements to the Pennington Avenue and Aycrigg Avenue intersection within the City of Passaic include the reconstruction of ADA ramps and curbs, the installation of traffic signal poles, pedestrian signal poles and attachment heads, the installation of 3600 Image Detection Camera System, and crosswalk pavement striping (Sta. 0+00. - Sta. 1+58). The scope of work within the Alternate Bid A will consist of milling, resurfacing, restriping, and resetting of all sanitary structures and storm drainage structures at the intersection of Pennington Avenue and Aycrigg Avenue (Sta. 0+00. - Sta. 1+58) within the City of Passaic. The scope of work within the Alternate Bid B will consist of milling, resurfacing, resetting of all sanitary structures and storm drainage structures, and new traffic striping at the intersection of Hope Avenue and Monroe Street (0+00. - Sta. 2+42) within the City of Passaic. The scope of work within the Alternate Bid C will consist of the reconstruction of ADA ramps and curbs, and crosswalk pavement striping at the intersection of Main Avenue and Westervelt Place (Sta. 0+00 - 0+85) within the City of Passaic. The scope of work within the Alternate Bid D will consist of the reconstruction of ADA ramps and curbs, and crosswalk pavement striping at the intersection of Main Avenue and Aycrigg Avenue (Sta. 0+00 - 1+10) within the City of Passaic. The scope of work within the Alternate Bid E will consist of the reconstruction of ADA ramps and curbs, and crosswalk pavement striping at the intersection of Park Avenue and Westervelt Place (Sta. 0+00 - 0+85) within the City of Passaic. The specifications were prepared according to the 2019 NJDOT Specifications for this type of project. All work shall be in accordance with the form of proposal, construction plans and specifications prepared by Yasseen Saad, P.E., City Engineering Consultant to the City of Passaic - Engineering Division. Proposals must be made on the standard proposal form provided, accompanied by a Proposal Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond from a Surety/Bonding Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey pursuant to Federal and/or State law as a Surety, a Certified Check, or Cashier's Check in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total amount bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00 to insure signing of the contract. Bidder shall also submit with the bid a Certificate of Surety from a Surety Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey, pursuant to Federal and/or State law as a Surety, stating that it will provide the contractor with a Performance Bond of the total price bid. Successful Contractor will be required to submit a Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond (refer to Instruction to Bidders). The City of Passaic is only responsible for forwarding addendums or clarifications to those prospective bidders who obtained specifications directly from the City of Passaic, Division of Purchasing or to those who have put the City of Passaic Division of Purchasing on notice as having received the specification. The City Council has the right to consider bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
