The Whitehorse Robert Service Campground Building is located at 120 Robert Service Way and was a construction project completed in 2023. This 357m2 multifunction building includes an operational area for the Parks department to work from and manage the campground site as well as a rental area with kitchen facilities available year round. The project requires firefighting water supply and determined to come from a pond next to the main building. Key elements of the Work: Development permit already in place and completes original building permit on file (records available). Specific trade permits only required; Materials as per civil design and confirmation, no shop drawings required; Work to include: a) Dry ductile iron standpipe complete with insulation, heat trace and steam nozzle connection. Heat trace electrical supply can be taken from adjoining shack power distribution. b) Emergency sump system for pump connection in the event the pond is drained during high water (pump is NIC, only connection required); c) Two bollards to protect the dry standpipe connection; d) Underground piping installed on Class B bedding to City of Whitehorse standards; e) Complete 6' high chain link fencing complete with barbwire on top, one man gate and one 20' double wide access gate installed roughly 24' from bottom on pond berm and coordinated with owner future parking spaces; f) 60 mil smooth HDPE geomembrane, complete with geocomposite underlay; g) Close out requirements and substantial completion; Documents can be obtained from https://whitehorse.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/82846
