Provide and install fencing appropriate for goat containment and predator protection, no later than September 30, 2024, per Appendix A – Fencing Drawing (see Section V Appendix, Appendix A – Fencing Drawing). 1. The project will consist of two types of fence systems: a. Type 1: 1950 linear feet of perimeter containment fencing: 1) Shall be constructed using 6–7-inch diameter x 8-foot-long treated brace posts at corners, tees, and changes of slope. 2) Utilize steel tee post not to exceed 10’ spacing with intermediate braces not to exceed 300’ spacing and treaded wooden post not to exceed 100’ spacing on straight runs of fencing. 3) Install 2”x4” galvanized 12-1/2-gauge horse woven wire fence 48 inches tall. 4) Install 3 each electric wires: first wire on exterior of fence at approximately 8” above ground. second wire shall be on interior side of fence at approximately 8” above ground. Third wire shall be at the top of the fence. 5) Electrical wire shall be 12 ½ gauge galvanized wire. Install using appropriate insulators. b. Type 2: 882 Linear Feet interior trac divider fence and front security fence with Gate: 1) Shall be constructed using 6–7-inch diameter x 8-foot-long treated brace posts at corners, tees, ends, gate. 2) Utilize steel tee post not to exceed 10’ spacing with intermediate braces not to exceed 300’ spacing and treaded wooden post not to exceed 100’ spacing on straight runs of fencing. 3) Install 2”x4” galvanized 12-1/2-gauge woven horse wire fence 48” inch tall.\ Gate: Install one 20-foot double farm swing gate. 4) Contractor is responsible for having underground utilities marked and preventing damage to utilities. 5) Electric fence controller and ground rods will be provided and installed by owner.
