The Facilities Services Remodel Project is an essential initiative for the Facilities Management & Planning department at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK). This project focuses on providing comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services for the renovation of the new Facilities Services building. The objective is to create a modern, efficient, and functional space to support the operational needs of the department. The Facilities Services building, spanning approximately 40,000 square feet, is currently under construction. UNK is acting as the general contractor for this project and is now seeking bids for the installation of MEP systems as specified in the included project specifications. Objectives o Mechanical Services: Installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure optimal indoor air quality and comfort. o Electrical Services: Implementation of electrical infrastructure, including lighting and power distribution systems to meet current and future demands. o Plumbing Services: Completion of above ground plumbing systems, focusing on water supply, drainage, piping, and fixtures to support the facility's operational requirements. Note: The underground plumbing and gas-fired radiant heaters are already complete and should not be included in this bid. All awarded contractor's will be required to follow all BOR policies relating to providing construction/maintenance services on campus as coordinated through UNK Facilities.
