Bids must be made on the forms furnished within PennBid. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and the Instructions for Submitting Electronic Bids set forth in the Bid Packet, including, but not limited to, a Bid Bond (issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in Pennsylvania), Bank Money Order, or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to LFT; an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds will be provided by the Successful Bidder to LFT upon the awarding of the Bid; and proof of insurance as required by the Contract Documents. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. This Project is subject to provisions of Act 422 of 1961, as amended (Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act) and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the PA Department of Labor and Industry. All contractors and subcontractors must be in compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act. Bids may be held by LFT for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
