ECSU is seeking a Design-Build Team to construct a new Chancellor's Residence. This project will be time sensitive and will entail working directly with the Chancellor and her Administrative Staff. A high level of professionalism, expertise and guidance will be required to keep the project in budget and on schedule. Project Information 1. Project Site: 1302 Parkview Rd, Elizabeth City, NC. Location of the current ECSU Chancellor's Residence. 2. Project Scope: Construct a new Chancellor's Residence of approximately 6,000sqft to accommodate the current and future Chancellor's of ECSU. The home must consist of private quarters for the Chancellor and their family, office space, butler space, kitchen, living room, sitting room, entertainment space, flex space, 3 car garage, and an additional master suite for guests. 3. Anticipated Project Budget: $1,500,000 4. Project Schedule: Design completed by March 2025, Construction to start immediately with a completion date of early 2026. 5. The criteria used to select the Design-Build Team will be based on past State Construction experience and Design-Build experience on public projects and past experience on completing University projects. Companies without State Construction experience but with experience in building high-end custom homes will be given high consideration for the project. 6. ECSU has a minority participation goal of 10% on the project. 7. Design-Build Team must be forward thinking in designing an attractive house that meets the needs of a Chancellor within the current budget. 8. The Design-Build Team must submit an explanation of the project team selection and which project team selection it will use as directed by state law. Interviews will be scheduled for the following week Aug. 26th-Aug. 30th.
