Dakota County, on behalf of itself, Scott County and Washington County, received funding from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) to administer a South Metro Private Well Pesticide Mitigation Program (Program). The Program will provide water treatment system grants for private drinking water wells that have pesticide (total cyanzine = cyanazine plus cyanzine degradates) concentrations over the health risk limit (HRL) of 1.0 microgram per liter, located in the metro counties of Dakota County, Scott County, and Washington County Dakota, Scott and Washington counties are seeking qualification from state licensed water conditioning contractors. Selected contractors will select and install water treatment systems for private well owners.
