This project involves the replacement of Roof on various Water Department sites. Question Deadline 08/27/2024 at 12:00 PM PT Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the Contract Documents must make a written request to the Purchasing Division (email acceptable). Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond in the form of a certified or cashier's check or Corporate Surety Bond in amounts not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid submitted amount. The Faithful Performance and Payment Bonds shall be for amounts not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the Bid Proposal price named in the Contract. Bonds shall be issued by responsible corporate sureties, licensed, and authorized to issue surety bonds in California. The District reserves the right to reject any bond if, in the opinion of the Director of Public Works/Water, the Surety's acknowledgement is not in the form included in the Contract Documents or in another form substantially as prescribed by law. The work under this contract shall be diligently prosecuted to completion before expiration of FORTY-FIVE (45) CALENDAR DAYS beginning on the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall pay DISTRICT the sum of $500.00 per day for each and every calendar day delay in finishing the work as outlined in the Scope in excess of the One Hundred Eight-two (182) CALENDAR DAYS specified below as Liquidated Damages. The District withholds liquidated damages before the accrual date if the anticipated liquidated damages may exceed the value of the remaining work Site Walkthrough Description: A bid received from a Contractor who is not represented by a duly authorized agent at the prebid meeting and job walk shall be considered non-responsive and rejected from further contract award consideration.
