Site work and paving for a civil project in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The work in general consists of construction of the following: 1. Water Main Improvements: A. Approximately 1,040 linear feet of 16-inch diameter DIP water line. B. 271 linear feet of HDPE water main by Horizontal Directional Drill C. 4 new main line valve assemblies. D. 14 new service connections. E. 2 new fire hydrant and valve assemblies. F. Other appurtenances required for a complete, functional system. G. Removal of existing fire hydrants and valve boxes as required. 2. Roadway Improvements: A. Cold planing (3,400 square yards) and resurfacing (300 Tons of EMix) on West Outer Drive. B. Erosion control C. Traffic control Bid Security in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids. Questions concerning the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will be directed to the ENGINEER, Cory Newman, P.E., cnewman@ldaengineering.com, and copied to Lyn Majeski, Purchasing Manager, lmajeski@oakridgetn.gov. All questions will be answered by issue of an addendum. The cutoff time for all questions is noon on August 21, 2024. Any questions submitted after this time may be unanswered. The allotted time for construction is 210 days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities in the Bids, and to determine the lowest responsible Bidder.
