Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a lump sum contract are invited for the following work: MP200 ROOM B114-35 NUC MED PET CT EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT Project Number 907526.01 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Contractor shall renovate Room B114-35 and the Adjacent control and equipment rooms, and install a University-furnished Siemens Biograph Vision PET CT system and chiller unit on the B-1 Level of 200 Medical Plaza. The scope of work includes demolition of improvements in the way of the proposed work, installation of equipment, anchoring and framing: modifications to building mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems to support the program; modifications to nurse call, fire alarm, fire sprinkler and security systems; testing and balancing; and repairs to building finishers impacted by the work. Equipment will be owner furnished contractor to install. The estimated construction cost is $2,189,000.00. NOTE: Bidders are advised that parking may be difficult. Bidders should allow ample time to drive to the above location in heavy traffic, find a parking space, walk to the designated Meeting Room prior to the required time. It is currently anticipated that the Site Visit will last at least 2 hours. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: B License (General Building) Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. In addition, the University is committed to promoting and increasing participation of small business enterprises (SBEs) and disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBEs) relating to all goods and services covered under the awarded agreement, subject to any and all applicable obligations under state and federal law, and University policies. The awarded contractor shall make best efforts to provide qualified SBEs and DVBEs with the maximum opportunity to participate. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements. SCOPE OF WORK A. This Specification and the associated drawings govern furnishing, installing, testing and placing into satisfactory operation the Electrical Systems. B. The Contractor shall furnish and install all new materials as indicated on the drawings, and/or in these specifications, and all items required to make the portion of the Electrical Work a finished and working system. C. Description of Systems shall be as follows: 1. Electrical power system to and including luminaires, equipment, motors, devices, etc. 2. Grounding system. 3. Wiring system for temperature control system as shown on the drawings. 4. Wiring of equipment by the Contractor. 5. Removal work and/or relocation and reuse of existing systems and equipment. D. Work Not Included: 1. Temperature control wiring for plumbing and HVAC equipment will be by the Contractor. E. The Contractor shall make all electrical system connections shown on the drawings or required for fully functional units. F. The Contractor is responsible for all damage to University Representative furnished equipment caused during installation.
