" The work generally consists of Installation of various pump station upgrades including structure, piping, electrical controls, odor controls and inlet piping, manhole rehabilitation. The proposed work shall be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and other contract documents. The construction is estimated to be completed within 90 working days from Notice to Proceed. The Engineer's Estimate for the project is $1,150,000. California State prevailing wage rates will be required on this project. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Cash, a certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of CITY OF ST. HELENA, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and a Labor and Material Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Bids may be held by the CITY OF ST. HELENA for a period not to exceed sixty (60) calendar days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding of the contract. The City of St. Helena reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to determine which bid is, in its opinion, the lowest bid of a responsible Bidder and in the best interest of the City to accept.
