The Napa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District is requesting bids from licensed General Contractors for a restoration project located in a segment of Bale Slough - Bear Creek just west of State Highway 29 in Napa County. The work will consist of demolition, excavation and off-haul organic material, grading, construction of biotechnical stabilization structures and habitat features, installation of native plants, maintenance and monitoring of installed plantings for a period of three years, and deployment of erosion control measures. Proposals shall be submitted under sealed cover plainly marked as a proposal, identifying the project to which the proposal relates by name and number, and the date of the bid opening Bids are required for the entire work called for by the Plans, Specifications, and Special Provisions and neither partial nor contingent bids will be considered Bidders are responsible for monitoring for addendums which may be issued up until 72 hours prior to bid opening. Complete sets of Contract Documents must be used in preparing Bids. The District does not assume responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Contract Documents. Responses to questions received will be included in the final addendum. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and a Labor and Material Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price with good and sufficient surety.
