Lake View Management & Development District (LVMDD) is a municipal utility district in the State of Texas, with regulatory authority to build, operate, and maintain utilities and roads in the Long Cove community in Henderson County, TX. LVMDD is seeking a contractor to provide Hydraulic Dredging services. This public bid is specifically for completing construction of all the work shown in a set of plans prepared by Wild Land Development Consulting licensed engineers in the State of Texas. All the work included in this public bid is shown in the construction documents, and all project specifications are provided and detailed in the plans. The scope of work includes the following major components: 7 Areas to be Hydraulically Dredged per plan specifications Bond Notes: Each bid shall be accompanied by a Cashier's Check or Bid Bond, acceptable to the District, in an amount not less than two percent (2%) of the total amount bid (Base Bid) as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a proper Contract and execute Bonds on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Bid sureties will be returned, upon request, to all but the three lowest qualified bidders within five (5) days after the opening of Bids. Remaining bid sureties will be returned, upon request, after complete execution of the Contract. The surety company providing the Bid Bond must conform to the same requirements for surety companies providing Performance and Maintenance Bonds, and Payment Bonds as described below. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract price, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. The surety company must have a minimum Best Key Rating of "B" or better. The surety company, the agency and agent issuing the Performance and Payment Bond must be authorized to issue such bonds in Texas in an amount equal to or greater than the total contract price. Owner Rights: The District reserves the right to conduct an independent evaluation of each bidders' qualifications and experience prior to award of a Contract. At the option of the District, all or part of the submitted bid may be awarded. The District also reserves the right to reject any or all bids and cancel the project. The formal award of contract will be made at a scheduled meeting of the District, open to the public pursuant to the provisions of the Texas Open Meetings Act, Section 551, Texas Government Code.
