Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: Install new 2-inch to 8-inch water distribution lines, water main taps, valves, fire hydrants and complete all asociated appurtenances. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submit- ted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Gana- do or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Developent Block Grant Mitigation (CD- BG-MIT) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the con- tract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sex- ual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Busi- ness Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. The City of Ganado reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Ganado for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of re- viewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award.
