Item 1: Milling of 3" of existing asphalt pavement on School Road, LRIP Project Request# 137225, from County Road C easterly for 1640 feet, for the Town of Brussels. All traffic control and signage will be placed by Door County Highway Department. Approximately 5000 SY Item 2: Furnishing approximately 370 tons of 3LT Hot Mix Asphalt Material for School Road, LRIP Project Request#137225, for Town of Brussels. The hot mix material is to be loaded onto Highway Department trucks for delivery and placement at jobsite. Item 3: Furnishing approximately 125 tons of 4LT Hot Mix Asphalt Material for School Road, LRIP Project Request# 137225, for the Town of Brussels. The hot mix material is to be loaded onto Highway Department trucks for delivery and placement at jobsite. The Town of Brussels reserves the right to reject any or all proposals submitted, or to accept any part or combination thereof, to waive any technicalities, and to accept any proposal deemed most advantageous to the Town of Brussels. This work is being bid to comply with the State of Wisconsin, Local Road Improvement Program, which is being used to fund portions of these projects and requests. The milling work shall consist of 3" depth of existing asphalt pavement. The millings are to be loaded onto Door County Highway Department trucks. The Door County Highway Department will supply and place all signage and any safety materials needed for each project. School Road is a LRIP Requested Project # 137225, with planned construction date of September. All bids shall be per square yard. All quantities are estimates and actual square yardage may vary. The Hot Mix Asphalt Material work consists of preparation of mixture for Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement, Type 3LT and 4LT. Hot mix asphalt is to be loaded onto Door County Highway Department trucks for delivery and placement at job site. The requirements of the following sections and subsections of the Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction of the State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation, latest edition (203) include: 450 General Requirements for Asphaltic Pavements 455 Asphaltic Materials 460 Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement The quality management program will not be required for this contract. HMA material shall be available for loading onto Door County Highway trucks from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Dates and times to be worked out with plant and County. If pickup times differ, the asphalt producer shall identify the times and dates material is available for pickup by the county. The asphalt producers' plant shall have the production and storage capacity to provide a minimum loading rate onto county trucks of 200 tons per hour. The tonnages listed are estimated and actual quantities may vary.
