There will be no required Pre-Bid Meeting. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project is officially known as "Town of Union Swamp Road 2025 - ARIP #00009". The project is described as pulverizing and repaving a +-1.5mile portion of Swamp Road (from County Road Y to the border of the Town of Brussels) in the Town of Union, Door County, WI. This project is partially funded by the WI DOT Agricultural Roads Improvement Program (ARIP). In general, work consists of the following: Pulverization, reconstruction, re-pavement, and culvert installation on the Town-owned roadway. This project will be bid simultaneously as the reconstruction project for the Town of Brussels owned, easterly, portion of Swamp Road. Bids, contracts, and payments will be run independently of each other; however, the intent is to complete the work in unison. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, the right to waive irregularities and informalities in bidding, the right to disregard all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional bids, and the right to accept the bid which best serves the interests of the Town.. : The bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond for the full amount of the Contract within 10 days of award or execution of the Contract. The Performance Bond shall contain a provision to increase the Performance Bond by the amount of any change orders that might increase the amount of the Contract price. If such bidder fails to execute and file such a Performance Bond within the 10-day period, the check, bond, or bank draft accompanying the bid shall be forfeited to the Town as liquidated damages. The Town reserves the right to postpone the award of the contract, and no bids shall be withdrawn for a period not exceeding 60 days after the date and time set forth in the Bid Opening. The Town reserves the right to retain the bid security of the three (3) lowest bidders during that time.
